Our names are Ben and Jesse.  We live in Kansas City, Missouri, with our bunny Emery.

Ben is a pianist, composer, songwriter, failed fantasy writer and occasional stand-up comedian.  He used to be a Catholic, until he reached the age of reason.  Please feel free to check out the indie-pop band Panda Circus, which features Ben on keyboard, as does the new punk band Something and the Whatevers.  You can also add Ben as a friend on facebook.

Jesse is a level 12 lawful good humanist who wields Occam's Razor like a sword.  She can almost certainly beat you at tetris attack, and if you made it a drinking game, she could beat you at two things at once.  Jesse is the organizer of the meetup group Polyamorous Families of Kansas City.  You can also add Jesse as a friend on facebook.

Emery is a strange little beast.  He spends most of his time mutilating whatever books have the misfortune of being on the bottom shelf of the bookcase.  His favorite food is chicken nuggets.  Emery does not have a facebook page, sorry.

ABOUT OUR BLOG

This is a blog called Protalkative.  Though the authors of this blog reserve the right to talk/rant about anything and everything, most of the content here will be of interest to people who identify as being atheists, skeptics, humanists, feminists, and/or dirty slutty polyamorous whores.  Of course, even if you are none of those things (you're missing out) you are still encouraged to read this blog at your leisure and leave lots of comments.  Even if you don't agree with us.  Especially if you don't agree with us.  

That being said, please use common sense when participating in discussions - you're welcome to debate with other commenters to your heart's content, but if you start engaging in harassment, threats, personal attacks, or just pain annoying trolling, you're probably going to be banned.
